Seeing the Unseen. Quantum physics and art as entangled worlds
Welcome to the parallel world of tiny units: anyone who ventures into the world of quantum physics often has to take a leap of faith. The world at the smallest scale defies our imagination, forms the basis for radically new technologies such as quantum computers and also fascinates artists.
With this exhibition, the ERES Foundation invites visitors on an interdisciplinary journey into the quantum world. In the show, the themes of quantum physics intertwine in Elsa Garmire’s psychedelic laser shows, overlap in Tamiko Thiel’s mixed reality installation, and unfold in Tan Mu’s painterly homage to the chandelier-like beauty of golden quantum computers.
With the excellence cluster Munich Centre of Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST), the ERES Foundation has gained a cooperation partner that provides scientific support for the project through an outstanding programme of lectures.

Seeing the Unseen. Quantenphysik und Kunst als verschränkte Welten
Willkommen in der Parallelwelt der kleinsten Einheiten: Wer sich hineinwagt in die Welt der Quanten, muss oft über den eigenen Schatten springen. Die Welt im Allerkleinsten sprengt unser Vorstellungsvermögen, ist die Grundlage für radikal neue Technologien wie den Quantenrechner und fasziniert auch Kunstschaffende.
Die ERES Stiftung lädt mit der Ausstellung zu einer interdisziplinären Reise in die Quantenwelt ein. In der Schau verschränken sich Themen der Quantenphysik in psychedelischen Lasershows von Elsa Garmire, überlagern sich in Tamiko Thiels Mixed-Reality-Installation und entfalten sich in der malerischen Hommage von Tan Mu an die Schönheit goldener Quantencomputer.
Mit dem Exzellenzcluster Munich Center of Quantum Science and Technology (MCQST) konnte die ERES Stiftung einen Kooperationspartner gewinnen, der das Projekt durch ein herausragendes Vortragsprogramm wissenschaftlich begleitet.
